New article! IEEE Sensors Journal

A new scientific article has just been published in the prestigious IEEE Sensors Journal, to which ZFPiN also contributed. The paper focuses on Hall effect sensors based on quasi-free-standing graphene (QFS) on SiC substrates. The work was carried out in collaboration with a team from Lviv Polytechnic National University, highlighting the international character of the research.

The article presents an experimental analysis of sensor performance in magnetic fields up to ±1 T, in the context of their potential applications in diagnostic and control systems for fusion reactors. The results show that the investigated structures exhibit very high linearity of response, while maintaining high sensitivity and good reproducibility of parameters.

The study also includes a detailed analysis and verification of the impact of accompanying phenomena, such as the offset signal and magnetoresistive effect, which may negatively affect measurement accuracy.

The results confirm that QFS graphene structures constitute a promising platform for magnetic field sensors designed to operate under demanding conditions, such as elevated temperatures or radiation environments. They also demonstrate that solutions based on 2D materials can effectively address the challenges faced by modern measurement systems.
