The NAWA PRELUDIUM BIS program supports the international mobility of doctoral students by enabling them to carry out foreign internships related to participation in research projects. A member of our team, as a scholarship holder of the Program, had the opportunity to complete a 4-month research internship at the Leibniz Institute IHP: Innovations for High-Performance Microelectronics in Frankfurt (Oder).
The main goal of the scientific project, implemented as part of the NAWA program, was to analyze the interactions between specific metals and the active channel of the PtSe2 layered material. An important aspect of the project was also the study of the impact of thermal treatment on the interactions between both interface layers. For this purpose, measurement methods such as X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Raman spectroscopy, and atomic force microscopy (AFM) were used.
The first results obtained during the implementation of the Program were recently presented in the form of an oral communication during the ECOSS conference (European Conference on Surface Science), which celebrated its 36th edition this year.
