Visit to Łukasiewicz-IMiF

The DoSPaN team, together with the Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics of the Łukasiewicz Research Network (Łukasiewicz-IMiF), has been conducting research for several years aimed at understanding the possibilities and limitations of epitaxial graphene on silicon carbide in magnetic diagnostics. Graphene micro-sensors produced by Łukasiewicz-IMiF, and also tested at DoSPaN, have great potential for applications, especially in electronics of extreme environments!

Students working on their diploma theses in our group also benefit from this cooperation. Recently, our graduate student went to Warsaw to personally hand over her research material, and at the same time get to know better the equipment capabilities of the Łukasiewicz-IMiF in the field of developing new materials and devices based on 2D materials, as well as their characterization. The Łukasiewicz-IMiF research infrastructure perfectly complements the DoSPaN infrastructure. Thanks to jointly conducted research, we have access primarily to epitaxial graphene on silicon carbide, produced according to the highest world standard. Additionally, the vast experience of scientists from the IMiF in the characterization of 2D materials allows us to broadly expand the possibilities that we have in this area at DoSPaN.
