Between January 6 – 14, 2022, we had the opportunity to conduct research using synchrotron radiation at the Bessy II Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin facility. We were able to obtain the measurement time on the PM2-VEKMAG end line intended for XAS / XMCD measurements in a strong magnetic field (9T / 2T) and temperatures below 2K. We carried out a research project related to the measurements of 2D magnetic properties of Gd-Pt surface alloys on the surface of Pt (111).
