Internship at Westinghouse Electric Company

Westinghouse Electric Company is a world leader in nuclear energy and a supplier of products and technologies for nuclear power plants. The company is one of the three technology providers taken into account in the project to build the first Polish nuclear power plant.

In January this year, the company selected 15 students with outstanding academic achievements to participate in the summer internship program. The candidates were selected from among students of technical faculties from all over Poland. Our representative was also among them!

The internship program took place between July 11 and September 9, 2022. at the company’s headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, and at Rock Hill, South Carolina, in the United States.

The participants of the Westinghouse internship program had a unique opportunity to take their first steps on a career path in the nuclear power industry. They worked on their first projects under the supervision of the best specialists in the industry. Participants had the opportunity to see many branches of the company, were participants of the company’s conference, and also participated in a tour of the currently constructed units 3 and 4 of the Vogtle reactor. Westinghouse provided all program participants with accommodation for the duration of their stay, coverage of flight costs to / from the USA, support in obtaining a visa, as well as a grant for current expenses.
