On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) organized an event gathering specialists from around the world under the slogan For More Women in Nuclear. Over 400 beneficiaries of the IAEA Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship (MSCFP) and the Lise Meitner Program (LMP) met in Vienna to take part in professional interview sessions with senior experts and representatives of the nuclear industry.
The event enabled MSCFP students graduates and LMP participants to exchange ideas and expand their skills. It was also an opportunity for the industry sector to meet with a rapidly growing community of female nuclear experts and explore career opportunities. MSCFP and LMP scholarships have helped approximately 600 women from over 120 countries pursue their dream careers in nuclear energy by providing them with opportunities to obtain internships and training to launch and advance their careers. The IAEA welcomes collaboration with the public and private sectors, academia, and civil society to work together for more women in the nuclear sector.
We are glad that DoSPaN was well-represented in this group!
