The ZFPiN team starts cooperation with the University of Münster!

It was initiated by our Ph.D. student who completed a 3.5-month scientific internship at the Institute of Physics, in the group of Professor Dr. Anika Schlenhoff.

The trip took place as part of the SONATA BIS NCN grant: On-surface in vacuo synthesis of salophene derivatives on noble metal monocrystalline surfaces. Characterization of their electronic and magnetic properties.

During the internship, we conducted research on WSe2 using low-temperature scanning microscopy and tunneling spectroscopy. WSe2 belongs to the group of transition metal dichalcogenides, which were previously studied at UHV STM LAB. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of laser light on the band structure of this material and the defects on its surface.

The established cooperation looks very promising, we are waiting for more!
