From April 10 to 20, 2023, we were at the Spanish synchrotron research institute ALBA Synchrotron near Barcelona. It was our second visit to this center during which we conducted XMCD (magnetic circular dichroism) investigations at the BL29 BOREAS-HECTOR endstation. The previous visit was focused on the study of the properties of 2D Gd-Pt surface alloys on Pt(111) single crystal (HERE you will find more information). During this year’s trip, we focused on completing the data from previous studies and determining the magnetic interactions between these substrates and the molecules deposited on them (CoBr2Salophene and CuBr2Salophene).
More information about the BL29 BOREAS endstation can be found HERE.
